Solar Power Purchase Agreement
Are there any companies in the UK that can provide Solar power on a Power Purchasing Agreement to businesses?
Many companies in the USA offer a Power Purchase Agreement for businesses, so that they can get Solar installed with no capital investment, no solar equipment purchase, no maintenance costs, just a simple monthly bill for solar electricity at a fixed rate.
Examples of Companies that do this are SunPower, BP Solar USA..etc
In the UK companies like Ecotricity will supply wind power on the same principles, but I cannot find anyone who does it for solar. I can only assume this is a government grants issue or a slower payback rate for the supplier?
Does anyone know of a company in the UK that will provide a solar system to a business under the same principles of: no capital investment, no solar equipment purchase, no maintenance costs, just a simple monthly bill for solar electricity at a fixed rate?
Solar photo-voltaic is not the best (most efficient, cost effective etc) carbon free energy source in the UK climate; so it is better to support wind & water and solar thermal and, most importantly, energy reduction, insulation etc.
