SDRL - Seawell to acquire Allis-Chalmers Energy in US$890 million transaction
HAMILTON, BERMUDA--(Marketwire - August 13, 2010) - Seadrill's majority owned subsidiary Seawell Limited and Allis-Chalmers Energy Inc. announce that their Boards of Directors have unanimously approved a definitive merger agreement providing for the acquisition of Allis-Chalmers by Seawell in a transaction valued at approximately US$890 million (including assumed debt).

is pursuit of a degree in alternative energy technologies worth it or shoul i just work in industry and ride the wave of energy products that are going to take over fossil fuels?
*should* I accidently mistyped. It says I need to type at least 10 characters. yeah I'm pretty excited this is a new degree program and this is the sort of stuff that is the future. My only reservation is taking the time off from work and taking more student loans. But all and all im excited about the prospect of going to college.
Getting a degree in alternative energy is going to be worth it. The new Farm Bill is establishing billions of dollars of guaranteed loans for ethanol plants. They are going to need specialists in these fields.
