Alternative Energy Legislation

Are Republicans destroying the country?
It seems to me that Republicans pretty much don't want to do anything except maybe start wars.
They don't want to do anything to improve the health care system, they don't want to do anything about pollution and global warming, they don't want anything to do with alternative energy sources, but just want to keep going with coal, oil, etc. They don't want to do anything to improve education.
They have the country for 8 years, and carry it down the tube, and it seems they do not want to do anything of substance to improve anything! Is all that they are here for to fight with the Democrats, and keep them from getting beneficial change for our country?
I am of the opinion that this party needs to be abolished some way.
Sure the Republicans will bash this, but they won't be able to tell me one positive thing they have done or want to do for the country. All they do is sit and bash the president and whine about every piece of legislation that is offered.
Republicans destroyed the country. We are in debt, our economy is screwed, war on two fronts, health care unaffordable, pollution, infrastructure crumbling, and corporations running the show. They act like they had nothing to do with this and have no ideas other than tax cuts to billionaires or letting polluters pollute or status quo.
Frankly I am sick of them and think they cannot be demonized enough for the damage they did to the USA. I want investigations into all the things the Bush junta and the GOP Congress did to ruin this country with their lies for war, assassination squads, wire tapping enemies, outting CIA operatives, politicizing the DOJ, corrupt sweetheart deals with contractors, terror alerts during campaigns for votes, lack of oversight, doing nothing to stop the sub prime and derivatives scams, bailing out Goldman Sachs and AIG, etc.
