Solar Power Questions:

Which issues do I have to treat in an essay with this title without going off topic?

"Can the effects of global warming be reversed?"

I began looking for information about the causes, the effects and the possible solutions (alternative energies and so on) but then I realised that it's not the point! What I was writing didn't answer the question and now I really don't know what I am supposed to write about...how to save polar bears, avoid the flooding of costal cities..???...please help me I'm loosing my mind! It's very urgent for me! Sorry for the mistakes, I'm italian, I hope my question is clear enough.. thanks a lot to anyone who is going to give me some tips..!!! I'm too desperate

hey mate, i'm a big climate change guy so here's a bit of advice...

a) to find out whether the effects of global warming can be reversed, you need to KNOW the effects. you need to state the effects in the essay.
b) as a result of the above, you'll need to outline the CAUSES aswell. don't talk about them too much -- just discuss them briefly.
c) if the topic is "Can the effects of global warming be reversed?" then you'll need to find out WHAT causes you want to talk about. do you want to talk about them all?
d) the effects CAN'T be reversed. we can't rebuild the o-zone layer and realistically the world isn't going to get cold enough to re-freeze the icecaps.

so in summary, you need to talk about the EFFECTS of global warming if they can be reversed. these effects could be: the ice caps melting, the o-zone layer being depleted, the water levels rising etc...

don't talk about saving the polar bears or cities going under or anything -- you want to AVOID the effects, not solve the problems they create!
